by Dave Pacitti, Chief Executive Officer – Avanos Medical

As I look back on my first 100 days as Avanos CEO, I’m struck by the passion and dedication I’ve witnessed across our company. This journey has been both inspiring and energizing, and I’d like to share a few reflections on what I’ve learned, where we’re headed, and what excites me most about our future.
Listening, Learning, and Engaging with Our Teams and Customers
From the very beginning, I’ve prioritized getting into the field to meet our sales teams and customers.
These conversations have been invaluable in helping me understand not only how deeply we care about serving patients, but also how much pride our teams take in delivering high-quality products.
I’ve also had the opportunity to connect with colleagues across Europe, spend time with our leadership team in Alpharetta, and visit our manufacturing facilities in Nogales and Tijuana. The precision, focus, and pride I saw at our plants in Mexico were truly remarkable, and I left those visits confident that our customers would be just as impressed by the dedication and expertise of our teams.
Building on a Strong Foundation
Our second-quarter earnings reflected the strength of Avanos’ business and the discipline of our teams.
We delivered strong results, reaffirmed our full-year guidance, and shared important milestones, including the divestiture of our HA business and the promotion of Scott Galovan as our new CFO.
Looking ahead, we will continue to focus on execution and on maintaining a high “say-do” ratio: following through on the promises we make. While challenges such as tariffs remain, we’ve made meaningful progress in securing exemptions for some of our Mexico-based products, which helps strengthen our competitiveness.
We are building for the long term, and there’s much more work ahead, but I’m confident that our continued performance and commitment to excellence will create value for patients, customers, and shareholders alike.
Driving Innovation and Growth
A critical area of focus for me – and for all of us at Avanos – is innovation.
Our customers and sales teams are eager for new products, and we are working hard to deliver. Through both internal R&D and strategic acquisitions, we expect to have several exciting launches ahead. Ensuring that we meet timelines, deliver on expectations, and bring these new products to market is one of our top priorities.
I’m deeply grateful to our R&D teams and the many others working tirelessly to advance our pipeline. These innovations are not just about growth, they’re about improving patient outcomes and making a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
Looking Ahead
These first 100 days have reinforced for me what makes Avanos special: the passion of our people and the commitment we all share to the patients we serve.
As we look to the future, I am excited to build on the strengths of our Specialty Nutrition Systems and Pain Management & Recovery franchises, deepen our relationships with our customers, and accelerate innovation that will shape the next chapter of Avanos.
My sincere thanks to our employees for making my first 100 days so rewarding. I’m energized by what we have already accomplished and look forward to building on this strong foundation as we strive to achieve even greater results together in the months and years ahead.
